Several CBI team members recently supported the LGE Community Outreach Foundation by playing in the 2016 Ed Collins Charity Golf Tournament at the Marietta Country Club. CBI was proud to be a title sponsor for the event which benefited several local non-profit organizations including Calvary Children’s Home, MUST Ministries, Next Step Ministries, Warehouse of Hope, SafePath Children’s Advocacy Center, and Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta. Everyone enjoyed a fun-filled day of playing golf while raising funds for worthwhile organizations.

CBI was recently chosen to renovate a 2-story, 8,000 SF main office for The Farmers Bank in Greensboro, GA. Interior features will include implementing a new teller line, replacing interior finishes and furniture throughout and adding centrally located flat panel TVs to provide local news and entertainment for customers. In addition, a coffee bar will be included in the lobby for customer convenience and a board room / training room will be located on the second floor for employee functions. Construction is slated to begin in August.

CBI was recently selected to design and build a new 9,000 SF branch for Southwest Georgia Bank. The new branch, which will be located in Tifton, GA, will be the 6th project CBI has completed for SGB. Interior features will include a lobby and teller pods using cash recyclers in addition to a large community room which can be used for hosting employee and community events.

Tyler, Norman & John from our team are exhibiting this week at the GCUA Annual Convention in Savannah, GA. Georgia’s credit unions are doing great things and we are proud to celebrate with them this year! Tyler also took some time to support the Georgia CUPAC by participating in the Annual Golf Tournament. Congratulations to the members of his team for placing 2nd place in the tournament!

CBI was recently awarded the contract to design and build a micro-branch for Peach State FCU in Central Gwinnett High School.  Design is underway and the project will commence while school is out for the summer.  This branch will consist of a teller-pod delivery system accompanied by a full service ATM.  This branch will be teamed up with an entrepreneurial business program developed for the students with onsite bank training.  The focus is to serve the students as well as teachers and staff.

LGE Community Credit Union recently celebrated the opening of the credit union’s newest branch in Canton, GA. The Canton branch is the first branch CBI has constructed for LGE from the ground up. All previous branch projects were either build-out of space in a shopping center or renovation of an existing building. The most recent project prior to the Canton project represented a change to a new retail business model for LGE incorporating advanced function ATMs for handling all transactions. This was initiated at the Roswell, GA branch and has been so successful that the credit union decided to implement the concept in the Canton, GA branch.

The new branch is 4,000 sq.ft. and features advanced function ATMs for all transactions along with engagement stations nearby for meeting with members to discuss their financial needs. In addition to conventional financial transactions, the Canton facility offers Insurance, Investments, Real Estate/Mortgage Lending and Traditional Lending, including auto and personal loans. The facility features the branded look and feel of LGE facilities and personal bankers will greet members and guests as they enter the facility in the defined engagement zone. Personnel for this facility are chosen for their ability to interact and engage with members and will be trained in all areas of product offerings so that members financial needs can be met with minimum involvement of additional specialists.
