Anderson, SC based Upstate Federal Credit Union, established in 1965 as Orr Mill Credit Union and renamed a federal charter in 1993, has chosen Consultants and Builders, Inc. to design, build, and furnish a new prototype branch located near the LaFrance Industries Division of Mount Vernon Mills and facing Clemson Boulevard/Highway 76. The new branch will be the second branch built by CBI for the credit union and will utilize Teller Pods, interior and exterior ITM’s, marketing and digital displays, and timeless furnishings. The unique exterior design of this 3,600 square foot, free-standing branch will echo the traditional architectural lines found at many of Upstate’s existing branches while incorporating transitional design elements to maximize visibility and marketing opportunities. The design includes three drive up lanes with a traditional drive-up window as well as advanced ITMs for members. The efficient design lowers construction cost, while the integration of advanced technology maximizes operational efficiency and return on investment. Ultimately the long-term goal is to incorporate some of the newer design and finish elements of the Pendleton branch at Upstate’s existing branches. We look forward to the collaboration, and further progress with Upstate Federal Credit Union to ensure their strategic growth initiatives are a continued success.
